Let’s face it. We’re all nosey, and sometimes it’s good to get lost in somebody else’s workplace drama…even if it is fake. Well here’s a list of work-based dramas that are sure to get you talking.
Let me know who’s office drama you decide to watch in the comments below!
If you want to get invested in the story watch…
- Being Mary Jane (CBS All Access): Follows Mary Jane, a prominent news anchor as she navigates office politics, her love life, and the local news in Atlanta.
- Emily in Paris (Netflix): Follows a social media manager named Emily who turns Paris upside down. You’ll laugh, cry, and root for this girl!
- Suits (Peacock): Follows Mike as he fakes his way to the top of a prominent law firm.
- The Bold Type (Hulu/Freeform): Follows three 20-somethings as they take their journalism careers (and NYC) by storm.
- The Good Wife (CBS All Access): Follows the former litigator, and wife of a cheating senator.
- Younger (TV Land/Hulu): Follows a 40-something as she pretends to be a 20-something in the NYC book publishing world.
If you’re tired of cookie-cutter television watch…
- Unreal (Hulu): Follows the production crew of a reality tv show, that’s strikingly similar to the Bachelor. It’s 100% scripted but I wouldn’t be surprised if drama like this happened in real life!
- iZombie (Netflix): Follows a no-nonsense cop, Clive, and his partner Liv, as they take down the bad guys. Did I mention Liv also happens to be a Zombie? (the premise is wild, but I promise the show is good!)
- Vice Principals (HBO Max): Follows a wild crew of school vice principals. They’re supposed to be the good ones, but trust me, they’re just as bad as the kids.
- Lucifer (Netflix): Follows a cop, and her partner (who also happens to be Lucifer) as they catch the bad guys.
- Love and Anarchy (Netflix): Follows a stressed marketing consultant who gets some much-needed R&R through a wild game of dare or double dare. You’ll just have to watch it to understand.
- Good Girls (Netflix): Follows a group of house moms turned street hustles.
If you want lots of laughs watch…
- Ugly Betty (ABC): Follows Betty as she climbs the ranks at a posh fashion magazine company.
- Twenties (BET): Follows a group of Black women in their twenties as they attempt to make a splash in Hollywood.
- Superstore (Hulu/Peacock): Follows a whacky cast of misfit workers in a local superstore (think Sam’s Club or Costco).
- Drop Dead Diva (IMDBtv): Follows the adventures of a model who dies and gets a second chance…as a lawyer. (It’s so good! trust me)
I’ve just started watching Lucifer. It’s really creative and cool. I don’t watch a ton of TV but I’ve had a few shows hook me. When I get through Lucifer I’m going to check out izombie. I like zombie movies and shows. Thanks for the list.
Yes agreed! Lucifer is such a creative show. You’ll definitely love iZombie too. Let me know what you think about it, if you decide to watch. 🙂
Ooo love this list – will have to check some out!
