The interview usually takes place somewhere significant like the celebrity’s home, or a family member’s residence. Well, today as you read this, pretend like Joe Sabia is in my face grilling me, and I’m your newest favorite celebrity.
What are you most excited about these days?
Being an adventurer. I’m excited to explore everything: people, places, cultures, activities, food, MYSELF, etc.
What intrigues you the most?
Dreams! I’m not going to lie, dreams are creepy AF. But, I must say that they’re powerful. I’ve often woken up with full plans for the next day, intriguing stories, and even a few jingles that I’d had to hurry up and scribble down.
What’s your favorite holiday?
Christmas! It’s something so festive about the food, music, movies, and family time.
Favorite season?
Spring. It’s not that hot, and it’s definitely not cold. And we see all the flowers bloom.

Zumba/Dance Fitness!!! But only with my girl Nicole (Jessica from Youtube is a close second). I talk about it nonstop. And also H.I.T.T., but I haven’t gone in forever. Sorry, Shannon.
Best way to decompress?
TV is the best remedy. You can get lost in someone else’s world. Check out iZombie, it’s a good one to get lost in.
What’s your favorite country to visit?
Paris. Everything is so magical. AND the food is on point! But also Mexico and Colombia! Recently visited them both and had so much fun.

Japan! Lawd, I need to go back though. I feel like I missed so much!

How do you know if you’re in love?
If they make it past the weekend… lol seriously though. If I don’t want the person or thing to ever leave / I can’t stop talking to them or about them, then it’s something special!
If you could go to any concert past or present, what would it be?
Bruh. I’m very upset that I missed Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz tour, and I’m sad that I’ve never seen Childish Gambino live.
What’s your secret weapon?
- My family. I grew up with a family that was super supportive. It’s always gone a little something like this: I have a dream, I share my dream with the ones I love (usually my family), and then BAM, I work with the people around me to try to figure out how to get to where I want to be. As I’m starting to grow and mature, I’m starting to see how blessed I am.
Favorite fashion trend of all time?
- Idk if this an all-time favorite, but y’all there’s something about a good pair of fashion overalls. I’m from the metro of ATL, not the country btw.
What’s your favorite movie of all time?
- Any teen movie from the early 2000s honestly. But it rotates a lot between John Tucker Must Die, A Cinderella Story (Hilary Duff version), What A Girl Wants, and The Hot Chick.

If you could make a documentary, what would it be about?
- A “Humans of New York” style interview docuseries of various interesting people making waves in their communities from around the world.
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
- Mind reading. But I’d need to have the power to turn it off and on.

- Asking for what I want and need, when I need it.
What is the best thing that happened to you today?
- I graduated from ELEVATE! I admit that I didn’t really realize how big of a deal this program was, until today.

- Yea why not? If someone is caring enough to set it up for me, who am I to be ungrateful?

- Probably in a theme park like Disney World or something

- I have a thing for Apple Juice (and to make it “alcoholic” just throw a dash of vodka in it)

- Soup Dumblings. OMG so good. AND wait for it, the Iskender Kebab goes so hard.

- I’m basic AF. I need a well-balanced plate. Pancakes/waffles, a piece of meat, and some eggs. I’ll feel cheated any other way.

- Go-karting in Japan, a 2wk Eurotrip, Spending time with friends and family.

- I have so many that I’ve started and haven’t finished. But Michele Obama’s book.

- This is so hard. So I’ll just detail how an artist makes it on my @djxdeja music Instagram account. If I hear a body of work that I can listen to start to finish without even hitting the skip button, then you’re worth spotlighting bub.

- I don’t really like chocolate. But white chocolate is good.
What is the best thing that happened this year?
- My growth. As each day passes, I’m learning a little more about myself, and developing a new kind of strength. Not sure where it’s heading, but I know because of it, I’ll be unstoppable (in a good way) one day!
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
- Keep the good people close, and cut off the bad. Also, learning to not let things get to me. Honestly, It’s never that deep.

What was the worst date that you’ve ever been on?
- OMG. So I went hiking. At first, it was chill, and I was glad to get out and see nature and whatnot. We felt like it was too short — it had taken like 30 minutes tops — so we took the advice of a staff member and tried to take the long way back to our cars through a trail. Tell me why this trail took, an extra TWO hours to walk. It would’ve been cute if I didn’t have other plans, and the person I was with wasn’t rushing to go see a stupid soccer game.
What’s a bad habit that you have that’s hard to give up?
- Trash talking. To my loved ones, I’m sorry, I blame it on being a Virgo.
What’s your favorite curse word?
- LOL, I don’t curse but I say, “AF” and “What the F” and “What the Heck” (in a baby Sydney accent) all the time.
What says the most about a person?
- I can semi-tell what type of person someone is by what they watch on TV and what overtakes the conversation when we’re naturally talking.

- Pearls. Who wants to get robbed out here in these streets. Not me.

- Listen, shampoo is drying, and it normally leaves my hair feeling like a brillo pad. I’ll opt for some kind of cleansing conditioner instead.

- BEING ERICA. I rarely re-watch shows, because there’s just so much to watch. But I think Being Erica (excluding the last season) is a show that keeps calling my name. Who are your kind of people?
- I have two main buckets! The outgoing, fun-loving, down-for-anything type of person. But also, the more shy, thoughtful, introverts. I think both are a reflection of who I am, and that’s why I’m attracted to them.

- If I’m going on a trip, I will not survive without my headphones, my travel bag, and my fanny pack.
